SITUATIONS VACANT: Frequency Allocation Board (FAB), Islamabad invites Applications from the citizens of Pakistan for appointment on regular basis, against following posts:

POST DESCRIPTION:

Assistant Director (IT Networks & Infrastructure)

• Post: 01
  • Grade: EG-2
  • Gross Salary: Rs 218,598/-
  • Appointment: On Open Merit
  • Age Limit: Maximum 32 Years

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Qualification:
  • Four years Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT or any other relevant field from a reputed local or foreign University, duly recognized & verified by HEC.
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.5 or 75% marks under the annual examination system.
• Required Experience:
  • Minimum 05 years of post-qualification experience in relevant field from a reputed public/private sector ICT organization.
• Preference:
  • Master’s degree (18 years) in relevant field from a reputed University (local or foreign) duly recognized by HEC.
  • Candidates with valid registration from PEC or NCEAC.
  • Having one or more relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in network administration and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, VLANs, Subnetting, Routing, Switching, STP, DHCP, DNS, NAT.
  • Configuration and administration of Layer-2/Layer-3 switches, routers, access points and other network equipment.
  • Hands-on configuration and administration of enterprise firewalls, including security policies, NAT, routing, IPsec/application controls, logging and traffic analysis.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of IPsec, SSL, site-to-site and client-to-site VPNs.
  • Design and management of IP addressing schemes, subnet allocation, DHCP scopes, reservations and IP utilization.
  • Experience with network monitoring and traffic-analysis tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, ntopng, Wireshark, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of network segmentation, access control, IDS/IPS, secure remote access and network security controls.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization platforms, including VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, XCP-ng or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with server backup and recovery solutions, including backup scheduling, monitoring, retention, backup verification and restoration procedures.
  • Ability to maintain network and infrastructure documentation, including network topology, IP address registers, device configurations, server inventory and backup schedules.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Qualification:
  • Four years Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT or any other relevant field from a reputed local or foreign university, duly recognized & verified by HEC.

• Required Experience:

  • Practical experience with MERN stack, PHP frameworks (Laravel).

  • Experience in managing large-scale project builds and dependencies using latest technologies.
  • Experience with DBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), database security and schema design, setting up and managing SSIS/SSRS for ETL processes.
  • Hands-on experience as DevOps and sound knowledge of Go/build automation tools for production systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of version control and release management using Git/GitHub.
  • Experience/knowledge about containerization.
  • Hands-on experience with web/application server technologies such as Nginx, Apache, IIS, Docker and related deployment environments.

  • Age Limit: Maximum 32 Years

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Qualification:
  • Four years Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security or any other relevant field from a reputed local or foreign university, duly recognized & verified by HEC.
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.5 or 75% marks under the annual examination system.
• Required Experience:
  • Minimum 05 years of post-qualification experience with at least 2 years in Governance, Risk Management and Compliance roles in private/government/telecom/banking sector.
• Preference:
  • Master’s degree in relevant field from a reputed university (local or foreign) duly recognized by HEC.
  • Candidates with valid registration from PEC or NCEAC.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements, including PECA 2016, CERT Rules 2023, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST and CIS Controls.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and implementing Information Security Policies, Standards, Guidelines, and detailed SOPs to ensure effective security controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in Information Security Risk Assessment, including risk identification, analysis, evaluation, treatment and mitigation.
  • Experience in maintaining Risk Registers, risk scoring, risk ratings, risk owners, treatment plans and periodic risk reviews.
  • Practical experience in Cybersecurity Incident Response, incident investigation, reporting and post-mortem analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting cyber security assessments, audits including VAPT of Applications, Web, Network, Systems and Infrastructure.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms, security monitoring, log analysis and security event investigation, including open source solutions.
  • Hands-on understanding of Network and Infrastructure security Firewall controls, security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ability to prepare security assessment reports, audit findings, risk reports, incident reports and compliance documentation.
  • Knowledge of information security principles, threat landscape, vulnerabilities, attack vectors and security controls.
