WE ARE HIRING | Deputy Manager – Shipping

Department: Shipping

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end shipping and export logistics operations.
• Coordinate shipments, bookings, documentation, and dispatch schedules.
• Liaise with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Commercial, Sales, freight forwarders, shipping lines and clearing agents.
• Ensure regulatory and customs compliance.
• Track shipments, ETDs/ETAs and delivery status.
• Monitor shipping costs and identify optimization opportunities.
• Supervise the shipping team and improve processes through SOPs, automation and ERP utilization.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: QUALIFICATION:

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Professional certification in Logistics/Supply Chain will be an added advantage.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong knowledge of export shipping and logistics operations.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation and customs procedures.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/SAP or other logistics management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments within deadlines.

EXPERIENCE:

• 7–8 years of relevant experience in shipping, export logistics, freight forwarding or commercial operations.
• Experience in the textile/manufacturing/export industry will be preferred.
• Prior supervisory or managerial experience is desirable.
