• Position: Database Administrator (BS-17)
• Total Posts: 02 (Open Merit)
• Nature of Post: On Contract Basis for a period of 03 years (Extendable)
• Prescribed Qualifications & Experience:
  • Master’s Degree (first division or Grade-B) in Computer Science or Information Technology OR four years Bachelor’s Degree (first division or Grade-B) in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized university.
  • Three years’ experience of database administration or troubleshooting.
  • Notes:
    • Preference will be given to candidates who hold MSCE or CCNA certifications.
    • Only practical experience acquired after obtaining the prescribed qualification will be considered.
• Age Limit:
  • Male: 25 to 30 + 5 = 35 Years
  • Female: 25 to 30 + 8 = 38 Years
  • Transgender age and sex will be determined based on their CNIC details.

Important Application Guidelines

2. Schedules: Schedules for tests and syllabus updates will be published exclusively on the PPSC website.
3. Age Relaxation Rules: Service in Federal, Semi-Government, Autonomous, or Local Bodies does not qualify for age relaxation.
4. Equivalence Certificates: Candidates presenting equivalent degrees must submit an Equivalence Certificate from HEC or Q.E.D.C. during the interview process.
5. Private Sector Experience: Experience from private entities is only acceptable if the organization was registered with SECP, the Registrar of Firms, or another relevant regulatory body during the period of employment.
6. Government Servants: In-service candidates must obtain or apply for an NOC/DPC from their respective department before applying.
7. Professional Council Registration: Registration certificates from relevant councils (e.g., PEC, PMDC, PNC, PVMC) must be obtained on or before the closing date.
8. Marks & CGPA: Total marks, obtained marks, or percentage certificates issued by the competent authority are required; CGPA alone is not accepted.
9. Authorized Information: Information shared on channels other than the official PPSC website should not be trusted.
10. Special Tests Location: Typing, shorthand, and computer proficiency tests (where applicable) will be held exclusively in Lahore.
11. Post Modifications: No fresh applications will be requested if the number of advertised posts changes.
12. Fee Payment Options: Payment must be made digitally via ATMs, Internet/Mobile Banking, OTC (at 1Link branches), JazzCash, EasyPaisa, U-Paisa, or supported micro-finance banks.
