• Position: Assistant Manager Quality Assurance
• Location: Islamabad

Job Responsibilities

• To ensure compliance with Quality Control requirements from incoming material to the end product till consumed by the customer.
• To ensure smooth operation of water treatment as per the requirements, compliant with PepsiCola International and local regulations.
• To ensure maintenance of the water treatment process as per defined guidelines and requirements on time to avoid any breakdowns.
• To maintain a water treatment consumables inventory ent to avoid breakdowns.
• To monitor, follow up, and improve WUR through coordination with other departments, and follow up on water saving projects.
• To ensure all incoming material is compliant with PepsiCola International and legal requirements, and from approved sources.
• To manage trials, studies,y and other requirements for value engineering projects and all types of PepsiCola International trials. Ensure updating of the quality monitoring process accordingly.
• To monitor storage conditions and practices of all raw materials as per defined standards and highlight the deviations/defects.
• To ensure finished syrup batching as per the MMI’s according to PepsiCola International specifications and legal requirements.
• Daily visit to the syrup room and cross-checking of 1 batch to verify quality compliance.
• Daily visit to all labs and inspection points to cross-check and review the monitoring results.
• To do a daily sensory evaluation of the last day's production and take action accordingly.
• To ensure production startups and post-maintenance inspection are done by a chemist accurately, with corrective actions accordingly.
• To conduct a surprise audit of the whole syrup process (simple syrup, final syrup) by critically analyzing from storage tanks (sampling from the top and sampling taps)
• Maintain all labs, equipment, and the sample retention room at all times.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment in a timely manner to ensure accuracy of results.
• Handle all nonconformities proactively, communicate in a timely manner, stop production if needed, and take corrective and preventive actions.
• Training and capability development of all Quality Assurance staff.
• Ensure the availability of updated standards/references and update instructions/monitoring sheets accordingly.
• In the absence of the Head of Quality, supervise the whole QA department (QC/QA/FS/Compliance)
• To do any job assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• BSc (Chemistry), BS Food Technology / Chemical Engineering, or having the required skills through experience and training.
• 3-5 Years of Experience in the Dairy, Juice, Water, or Beverage Sector
• Lead Auditor or experience with FSSC certification.
