We are hiring a Project Safety Officer

Key Accountabilities

Evaluate & monitor workplace conditions w.r.t health safety hazards/risks and implement Co.’s safety policies & procedures to ensure zero harm to man, machine & environment.
Inspect project site to ensure compliance with applicable workplace safety regulations, code, and guidelines.
Implement Occupational Health & Safety (OSHA) training programs for project staff and stakeholders in liaison with the Co.’s Safety.
Carry out daily toolbox discussions with relevant stakeholders.
Oversee the execution of STP & Safe Work.
Intervene/stop any acts or processes which are unsafe or do not comply with SHE policies & guidelines.
Document reports of occurrences and record statistical information onCDss SHEQ software, and implement preventive measures to ensure zero repetition in the future

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors

B.Sc/B.E Mechanical/Industrial
Minimum 02 years of experience working as a site safety officer on a Project Site.
Must have knowledge of project safety, rigging and lifting safety, work at height and scaffolding safety, inspection of portable cranes, shovel, excavator, Electrical safety (NFPA 70), Regulatory Compliance & International Safety Standards (OSH & ISO).
Should have experience working with Workplace Health and Safety, Emergency response, hazard/risk, injury and disease prevention, fire control, hazardous chemicals, material handling, building, electrical, noise pollution, and environmental protection.
Other Skills: Analytical Skills, Communication & Interpersonal skills, Planning & Organizing Skills, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Time Management, MS Office, Supervisory Skills.
Other Certifications: IOSH Managing Safety (preferred).
