Education: B.COM/M.COM/ICMA/CA/MBA Finance

Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in Finance and Proficiency in SAP B1 is a must, preferably in the Food Retail Industry.

Skills & Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation, filing, and submission of all tax returns, including income tax, VAT/GST, and other relevant taxes.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations, advising the organization on potential impacts.
• Respond to tax audits, inquiries, and assessments by tax authorities.
• Develop strategies to minimize tax controversies and resolve issues effectively.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to monitor ongoing tax compliance.
• Conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure adherence to tax policies and procedures.
• Work closely with legal, finance, and commercial teams to assess the tax implications of contracts, transactions, and corporate structures.
• Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to the Head of Finance.
• Stay current on industry-specific tax trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
• Work with relevant departments to maximize available tax benefits.
• Mentor junior staff and facilitate knowledge sharing within the department
• Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with tax authorities.
• Manage the preparation and submission of responses to tax inquiries and requests for information.
