JOB SUMMARY: To ensure smooth operations and maximum productivity to achieve the sales objectives of the department through accurate inventory control, adherence to merchandising standards, and good personnel management, and development.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The department manager takes on making sure his department performs well in sales.

• Informs his employees about specific sales techniques they might need to improve upon.
• Handles the important role of monitoring stock.
• Minimizes shrinkages through proper handling of merchandise & ensuring strict compliance with FIFO.
• Organizes orders in sufficient quantities to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Checks regularly during the day, the availability, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Ensures cleanliness and good housekeeping in the work area.
• Manages, motivates, and Organizes rosters and holidays of staff.
• Imparts training of store staff and equip them with the skills to understand and fulfill customer needs.

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

• Minimum Intermediate/ Preferred Graduate
• 4+ years of experience in a similar role in the retail industry.
• Sales & Inventory Management.
• Customer Services.
• People Management.
• Communication Skills
