Job Role: Mechanical Draftsman

Job Responsibilities:

1. Accurately perform 3D laser scanning and probing of parts using arm-based 3D Laser scanners on Polyworks or Geomagic Design‐X software.
2. Perform complete reverse engineering of scanned parts i.e. 3D scanning, 3D Model development, and 2D manufacturing drawing development.
3. Development of 3D part models & 2D manufacturing drawings for parts based on ASME Y14 standard on PTC Creo based on scanned data on Polyworks Inspector & Modeler, and Geomagic Design-X Software.
4. Accurately perform manual dimensioning of parts using hand measurement tools and develop hand sketches.
5. Perform efficient record keeping of all the parts received and drawings issued for review & manufacturing along with parts in the Part Development Section (PDS).
6. Development of Inspection Reports of fabricated parts using Polyworks Inspector software.
7. Develop piping isometrics, piping plans, and structure drawings for plant modifications.

Competencies:

1. Proficiency in performing scanning and probing using arm-based 3D laser scanners.
2. Proficiency in using multiple reverse engineering software: Polyworks Inspector & Modeler, Geomagic Design-X, and Autodesk Powershape.
3. Proficiency in using PTC Creo software to develop 3D models, 2D part manufacturing drawings, and part assemblies.
4. Understanding of ASME Y14 standards for drafting, dimensional, and geometric tolerancing.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD for developing piping plans, piping isometrics, and structure drawings.
6. Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Specification (Qualification/Experience):

Qualification: 03 years DAE Mechanical, Individuals with Reverse Engineering training and certifications will be preferred.
Experience: 02 – 05 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in the Fertilizer, Petrochemical industry, Automobile, or Reverse Engineering services company. The individual should have drafting experience primarily part development and basic plant project engineering.
